Flower Power...

We went to Spanish class this morning and the teacher, Bertha Parra, decided we would study for an hour and then visit a place in town to practice our Spanish. She decided on a pottery shop that we had to taxi to. She told the taxi driver where to go but we didn't end up at the pottery shop! Tasha, Sam, Hailey, and I were in the lost taxi and then Kate and Sara were in another taxi with Bertha. What a disaster! I had no idea where we were so when the other taxi never showed up, we started to walk back to town. No big deal! I didn't know exactly where we were but I knew everything leads back to Parque Caldron. So, let our adventure begin...

This is Anita. She works in the flower market. She made this gorgeous flower crown for me for Valentine's Day. Only cost me $5! Our conversation was shared by smiles, laughter, hugs, and kisses. You never need to know the language the other person speaks when you speak from the heart. Anita is beautiful, loving, and makes gorgeous flower arrangements. Thank you Anita for sharing the love and making it an unforgettable San Valentin!

The Valentine's Day Dance was a hit! We had dancing, games, cookies, and photos. Rodrigo was nice enough to play some good ole American line dances. The tias just laughed! Laura got into the Macarena with us! It was adorable! All of the children were dressed in red. Esperanza looked awesome wearing both red shirts and pants! Even baby Gabi was dressed up! As always, it was a lot of fun and everyone seemed to enjoy the party!

Playing musical chairs with the tias! It came down to me and Clara because I'm "muy grande" and the tias didn't have a chance! It was hilarious... and Clara did win!
