Dreams Do Come True...

 

Not only was I asked to stay in Ecuador as a Volunteer Director AND take a trip to the Galapagos Islands... I was able to see ENRIQUE IGLESIAS  in concert!! 

I'm telling you, dreams DO come true!!

Since I was staying and with the changes in the OSSO program, Katie and I were now under the direction of Mike, who is the Managing Director in Rexburg. Not knowing what the answer would be, I asked Mike if we could go to the concert. He said, "Yes, just don't tell the volunteers!" Ummm okay! Deal! 

 

Although we were super far away, it only cost us $35!

Both Wisin and Enrique put on a great show! Wisin played some great stuff and Enrique played a lot of his older stuff along with his popular songs from the Sex & Love album. It was AWESOME!!

Continental Divide & Giron Waterfalls...

Our field trip this month was to Giron Waterfalls. Negro took us to his little restaurant/house in Giron. On our way there we were able to visit the Continental Divide. It was breathtaking!

We had to walk about 2 hours to get to the waterfall with many stops in between. The country was beautiful! I loved walking through the countryside with no trail to follow. It was amazing!

On our trek back to Negro's place the fog started to move in. We were lost in the clouds!

 

 

 

 

After our 1.5 hour hike back, we were ready to eat! Negro served us a great lunch and the fresh trout was delicious!

 

Nothing was left but bones on that fish!

I couldn't be more in love with my life!
